Witnessing a City Biker’s Worst Nightmare

Current mood: restless
The cab I was in today ran over a biker as the cab turned left, and the biker did not. The cabbie was hurrying for me, so I feel partially guilty. Especially when I picture the biker making eye contact with me just before he drops out of sight. He was limping as he cursed the cabbie, and since I’ve biked in the city plenty of times, I completely empathized with the biker. However, he was on the left of the cab in the left turn lane. So depressing… the biker took the cabbie’s license number and I’m sure he’ll lose his job. I did tip him $2 on a $4 ride, though, since I did flee the scene while I was in a hurry to see my niece.
